ScanTech Digital is a multi-technology reality capture and digital twin specialist based in Birmingham and covering the whole of the UK. Our mission is to harness technological innovation to transform the world of property and construction.

What we do

Laser Scanning

With our 3D laser scanning services, your asset is captured using the latest technology and recreated as a point cloud model.

Scan-To-BIM

Our end-to-end scan-to-BIM service creates a digital twin and transforms raw data into intelligent 3D models, which can be used for planning, developing, monitoring and managing your asset.

Model Validation

AI-powered classification technology is transforming the construction verification process, automatically analysing and comparing every element on site to the BIM model in just a fraction of the time, providing rapid critical insight into discrepancies and reducing risk.

360° Progress Reporting

Improve record-keeping, communication and transparency with regular hi-res 360° progress photos that facilitate remote, role-based access.

Virtual Tours

Open your destination virtually with a 360° virtual tour including dollhouse views, floor plans, venue information and other ultra-smart features.

Aerial Surveys

A single drone flight produces thousands of measurements and accompanying imagery, mapping your site in high resolution quickly, safely and efficiently.

Who we work with

ScanTech Digital has provided us with a great service over the previous 18 months. They captured images of the site as it developed including the extensive archaeology. We used their reality capture services to inform tendering at the start of the pandemic when contractors weren’t able to visit the site to inspect the works.

We approached five different parties to quote. ScanTech offered a competitive price for a point cloud survey which resulted in a detailed set of 2D plans and a 3D Revit model. They also promised a far quicker turnaround than any other party. We instructed ScanTech without hesitation and were blown away by the results.

Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery

The Townscape Heritage project has worked with ScanTech Digital to create this unique experience, allowing people to access the building virtually whilst learning about the functions of a typical twentieth-century jewellery manufactory in the heart of the Jewellery Quarter.

We have also incorporated oral history interviews from former employees of Alabaster & Wilson which are part of our People’s Archive - they really help to bring the building to life! We are thrilled that this piece of Birmingham’s heritage has been captured in such detail so that it can be learnt from and enjoyed by future generations.
